Cadet Senior Airman Avery Loving was announced as the Cadet of the Quarter for Q2 2021, and Bravo Flight took the title of Honor Flight for the third consecutive quarter!
Three Monroe Cadets competed in Round 1 of the Air Force Association's CyberPatriot competition, a nationwide competition with 2834 teams from across the US.
Postponed: Monroe Composite Squadron will be moving it's meeting location to Monroe High School on November 15th.
More than a dozen promotions were awarded, in addition to several other awards and badges at Monroe's quarterly Awards Night on 15 Oct. In attendance to present awards were Col Rajesh Kothari, Michigan Wing Commander, Lt Col Mario Accardo, Group 705 Commander, and Lt Col Mark Woodruff, Group 705 Emergency Services Officer.
Monroe Composite Squadron will be hosting an open house, along with their monthly awards night on Thursday, October 15th at 6pm.
Six Cadets took to the skies Saturday, five of which were first time flyers!
Despite COVID restrictions, four Monroe Cadets finished all of the requirements for their Wright Brothers Award, the first milestone in the Civil Air Patrol Cadet Program.
Lt Col Mario Accardo, Commander of Group 705 held an essay contest regarding leadership during COVID. Monroe's own Cadet Mary Wright won the competition for the Airmen Category.
Monroe Composite Squadron is sad to announce the passing of First Lieutenant Nick Roberty, who was one of the first members of the Squadron when it opened in 1951.
